(KNZA)--A Brown County bridge, which is set to be closed, will be replaced with a tube.
That word this week from County Commission Chairman Warren Ploeger in response to a letter received from a county resident voicing his concerns about the closure of the bridge on Bittersweet Road near 175th Road.
In the letter, Austin Heiniger said the road is a major route of access for several farmers in the area. In his operation alone, Heiniger said he crosses the bridge more than 100 times a year.
Ploeger said he will contact Heiniger to inform him that the county plans to replace the current wood deck bridge with a tube.
