(KNZA)--Two men were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash on I-29 in St. Joseph Monday night.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 63-year-old Richard Palmer, of St. Joseph, was stopped in the driving lane with his caution lights on when a southbound vehicle struck a trailer on his pickup truck.
Palmer, who was standing outside his vehicle, was then struck by his own vehicle after the impact.
Palmer and the driver of the other vehicle, 55-year-old Kansas City, Missouri resident Craig Spencer, were taken to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph with serious injuries.
The wreck was reported shortly after 8:30 near the interchange with U.S. 36 Highway.
