(KLZA)-- Three separate roll-over wrecks in Richardson County Monday resulted in three people being transferred to area hospitals for treatment.
The first wreck was reported about 10:50 a-m on Highway 62 about 2 1/2 miles west of Stella.
The Nebraska State Patrol says a gravel truck driven by 29-year-old Timothy Rotkvic of Falls City was eastbound when the front tire on the driver side blew out. The truck went into the ditch on the north side of the road and landed on its top.
Rotkvic was transported to the Nemaha County Hospital in Auburn with non-life threatening injuries.
Then shortly after 1:30 p-m a dump truck rollover was reported on Highway 105 about 4 1/2 miles north of Highway 4. The 19-year-old driver, who’s name is being withheld at this time, suffered minor injuries but was transported to the Johnson County Hospital for treatment.
The truck, owned by G.I.G. Trucking of Lincoln, was loaded with milled asphalt and ended up in the ditch. The Richardson County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the wreck. T
The third wreck occurred shortly before 5:50 p.m. on 641 Avenue, a half-mile north of 703 Trail, which is the Old Honey Creek Road.
A car flipped and was upside down in the middle of a cornfield. The car, driven by 19-year old Michael Wiltz of Sabetha, was southbound at the time of the wreck. Wiltz was transported to the Sabetha Community Hospital for treatment of unspecified injures. The car was totaled.
The initial report indicates speed was a factor in the wreck.
