Warrant Leads To Drug Arrest
10/16/2015

(KAIR)--A Muscotah man, wanted on an Atchison County District Court warrant for failure to appear, was arrested Thursday on drug related charges.

Police Chief Mike Wilson says it happened after an officer on patrol spotted 35-year-old Matthew Boatright in the front yard of a residence located in the 1000 block of Riley.
The officer recognized Boatright, ran a computer check, and discovered that a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Police found what appeared to be methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in Boatright's possession when taking him into custody.

He was booked into the Atchison County Jail on charges including possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia, in addition to the warrant.
