Plea Entered In Atchison Drug Case
10/20/2015

(KAIR)--An Atchison man, accused of attempting to purchase marijuana from an Atchison County Sheriff's deputy, has agreed to a plea deal in the case.

28-year-old Dale Rogers appeared for an arraignment hearing in Atchison County District Court Monday afternoon, where he plead guilty to one count of distribution of marijuana. In exchange for the plea, several other charges, including use of a telecommunication facility in the commission of a felony drug violation, aggravated endangering a child, and conspiracy to distribute marijuana were dropped.

Sentencing has been set for November 16th.

Rogers, along with 20-year-old Samantha Bruckerhoff-Crowell, was arrested in August after a controlled marijuana purchase was arranged by the Sheriff's Department in the parking lot of Walmart.

Bruckerhoff-Crowell is scheduled to be sentenced for her role in the case on November 20th.
