(KLZA)-- The Mound City Board of Education met last week. A two-year CO-OP for athletics with the Craig school through the 2017-18 school year was approved.
Superintendent Ken Eaton reported the Mound City annual Performance Report showed the district scored 97.1 percent, up five percent from last year. The report covers five different categories including academic achievement, college and career readiness, attendance and graduation rates.
High School Science teacher Cammy Ungles and Rachel Stanton, 3rd grade teacher presented information to Board members on their classes, objectives and responsibilities.
A lighting proposal with Managed Energy Systems for $62,444 was presented by Superintendent Eaton. The Board accepted the bid and the Mound City School District will receive a rebate check for one – half the expense from KCP&L.
