(KNZA)--A single-vehicle wreck Monday morning on a Brown County road southwest of Powhattan claims one life.
Killed in the crash was 64-year-old Delaine Wenger, of rural Powhattan.
Brown County Sheriff John Merchant says emergency personnel responded to the scene of the wreck in the vicinity of 120th and Bittersweet Roads shortly before 10:30.
Merchant says Wenger, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The wreck remains under investigation.
The Kickapoo Tribal Fire Department, Powhattan Fire Department, Sac and Fox Police Department, Brown County Rescue Squad and Horton EMS all assisted at the scene.
