(IKLZA)-- Falls City High School hosted the annual Veterans Day Program Wednesday morning with students from both Falls City Public Schools and Sacred Heart taking part in the program.

Air Force Veteran Ken Simpson was the featured speaker for the program, reminding those in attendance the importance or our military veterans. With military personnel protecting our freedoms and defending us 365 days a year, Simpson said while we can never repay the debt we owe out veterans, our gratitude and respect must last forever.

Simpson is also the Commander of American Legion Post #102 in Falls City and talked about the purpose of the organization. He says the American Legion is an advocate for veterans, serving veterans, their families and our communities.

The annual Veterans Day Parade on Stone Street was held Wednesday afternoon.
