(KLZA)-- The Richardson County Fair is Thursday through Saturday in Humboldt. The Humboldt Fall Festival and Coronation Program will kickoff this weeks events at 7 p.m. Wednesday evening.
The theme of the program is “Country Days, American Ways.” The coronation program will be on the stage in the City Square Park, weather permitting. If it is raining the coronation and program will be held at the City Auditorium on the south side of the Square. During the ceremony the Queen and King will be crowned and the Humboldt Woman of the Year will be honored.
Parades featuring area bands, floats, horses, costumed children, and various types of vehicles and business floats will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday with the King and Queen’s float leading the way.
Each day of the Fair there will be free acts at 2 in the afternoon and 8 at night on the stage in the City Square Park. Rain would move the shows to the HTRS School. Thursday, the A Cappella quartet Blend will perform music from the 50’s and 60;s along with comedy. Friday two acts will be featured. At 2 o’clock the group High Heel will perform featuring Richardson County native Lisa Heim. ( hime like lime) That evening, a group with Richardson County roots “The Wissmann Family” will perform. The Saturday entertainment will be Riverrock, a popular band from Kansas City featuring classic country and rock music from the 60’s and 70’salong with songs of the 80’s and 90’s.
There will be carnival rides and game as well as the many exhibits to see at the Richardson County Fair in Humboldt.
