(KAIR)--An 80-year-old Doniphan County man is dead, killed Thursday evening in a fatal farm accident.
Doniphan County Sheriff's Deputy Raymond Hall identifies the victim as Morris Miller.
“The Doniphan County Sheriff's Office received a call a little before 10:00, and advised that there was a tractor rollover, about 7 miles south of Wathena,” Hall tells MSC News. "[Miller] told family and friends that he was going to mow his pasture about 3:00 [Thursday] afternoon, is when he was last seen by anybody. They tried contacting him about 7:00 and couldn't, so the family started looking for him and he was discovered by family about 9:30 [Thursday night]."
Hall says Miller's small tractor, with a brush hog on the back of it, went up on an embankment and rolled over, pinning him underneath.
Hall says the location of the fatal accident sits near Monument and 130th Road.
