The Nebraska Corn Board will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at River’s Edge Convention Center, 265 33rd Avenue in Columbus, Nebraska.
The meeting is open to the public, providing the opportunity for public comment. The Board will conduct regular board business, consider funding requests and set the budget for fiscal year 2017-2018. The meeting is open to the public. The Nebraska Corn Board is made up of nine farmer directors who serve three-year terms. Eight members represent specific Nebraska districts and are appointed by the Governor of Nebraska. The Board elects a ninth “at large” member.
The Nebraska Corn Board is a state funded agency funded through a ½-cent-per-bushel checkoff on all corn marketed in the state.
Nebraska corn checkoff funds are invested in programs of market development, research, promotion and education.
