Previously the site coordinator for both HCC’s Perry and Wamego Centers, Forsberg left HCC to become the Dean of Instruction at Independence Community College. After returning to Northeast Kansas, she returned to teaching for HCC on an adjunct basis. Her new role with Highland will include returning as Center Coordinator and Director of Regional Instruction.
Highland has six regional centers that cover the nine county Northeast Kansas region served by the College. Forsberg will be working with those centers in Atchison, Holton, Marysville, Perry, Sabetha, and Wamego to coordinate offerings in the region and to develop academic programming that is center specific. She will also play a key role in facilitating communication between the Highland campus and its regional centers.
A native of Gypsum, Forsberg is a graduate of Southeast of Saline High School. She attended Bethany College before getting her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Kansas. She then obtained a Master of Public Administration degree, also from KU.
