The Nemaha County Commission districts have been redrawn.
The commission Monday adopted a resolution providing for the reapportionment of the county’s three commission districts based on the 2010 census.

Previously out of the 10,178 people that reside in Nemaha County, 44 percent were in District 1, about 18 percent in District 2, and nearly 38 percent in District 3.
Under the newly redrawn district boundaries, each district will now contain about 33 percent of the county's population.
During the commission’s annual re-organization, Wessel was appointed as commission chairman for 2012.
