A single-vehicle accident in Jefferson County early this ( Monday ) morning claimed the life of an Oskaloosa man.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 42-year-old Marty Warriner was traveling south on U.S. 59 about three miles south of Oskaloosa when for an unknown reason his pickup truck left the roadway to the west. Warriner over-corrected, causing his vehicle to slid sideways into the east ditch. The vehicle went end over end one time, coming to rest on its wheels.
Warriner, who was the lone occupant in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Patrol says he was not wearing a seat belt.
The accident was reported around 12:15 this ( Monday ) morning.
