Spring Tea Date Now Set
Although winter remains the reality, the Morrill Public Library, in Hiawatha, looks towards warmer weather, setting the date for the annual Spring Tea Fundraiser.
Serving as the primary benefit function of the year for the library, Outreach Librarian Susan Bryant says the event will be held in April(Play Audio :07 secs)
Bryant says a central focus of the Spring Tea each year is the artwork created for the table settings, as local designers are again called to provide their flourishes for the event(Play Audio :27 secs)
Bryant says designers, in the past, have drawn inspiration from books, history, and their imaginations, leading to the designs viewed at the event, which serves as a fun social gathering, which features entertaining programs for adults, teens and children.
