New details come to light regarding the Thursday morning accidental shooting in Horton that left a 63-year-old woman injured.
The incident, as the victim tells it, can only be called a freak accident, with her hands never touching the handgun.
Instead, she says the loaded gun-placed on a high shelf out of the reach of grandchildren-somehow fell, and fired, striking the inside knee of her right leg.
Happening around 7:25 Thursday morning, she was taken to Hiawatha Community Hospital for treatment, but has since been released.
