A bench warrant has been issued for a Hiawatha man charged in connection with the theft of a pickup after he failed to appear in Brown County Court recently for his preliminary hearing.
33-year-old Jacob Micheal Mahnke and 22-year-old Charlene Linder of Hiawatha were arrested November 29th by the Sac and Fox Tribal Police Department after a 1985 Chevy Silverado truck was found in front of the Sac and Fox Yellow Earth Apartments in Reserve.
The pickup had been reported stolen by owner Jimmy Stewart of Independence, Missouri the day before.
Both were released on bond shortly after their arrest.
Mahnke and Linder are each charged in Brown County District Court with one count of felony theft.
A preliminary hearing for Linder is now set for March 14th.
