A controversial maneuver is made Monday by the Holton Board of Education, deciding to not renew the contract of a seemingly popular, and well performing, Middle School Principal.
That was the key to comments made by supporters, including a past board member and some teachers, who spoke in favor of Ralph Blevins, employed in the district for six years.
Despite the pleas in his favor, the school board did not include Blevins on the list of administrators who will have contracts renewed for the 2012-2013 school year.
Blevins' contract is set to expire on June 30th of this year.
The reason behind the board's decision has not been made public.
