A Lincoln, Nebraska man was injured Saturday afternoon when he lost control of his motorcycle on U.S. 36 highway just east of Hiawatha.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says 30-year-old Jacob Keel was traveling west on his 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle following a truck that was pulling a trailer. The truck and trailer slowed. The Patrol says Keel attempted to slow, encountered some mechanical issues, and lost control of his motorcycle.

He was transported to the Hiawatha Community Hospital.

The accident was reported around 1:30 Saturday afternoon.
