CMC had net patient service revenue of more than $17,779,000 in 2011 and total operating revenue of just over 18-million dollars. The hospital revenues were $777,748 higher than expenses. Larsen also noted the hospital is paying off about $250,000 annually on the principal owed on the building while still putting around $120,000 per quarter into a debt sinking fund to pay for new equipment as it becomes necessary in the future. The average number of patients per day in the hospital in 2011 was between 12 and 13.
Larsen said an annual study of rural Nebraska hospitals indicates patient costs at CMC are in-line with rural hospitals around the state. ( play audio :25 seconds )
