(KLZA) The Humboldt –Table Rock – Steinauer School Board Monday night unanimously approved a motion concerning a fitness center proposed by the HTRS booster club.

Committee members are now to be appointed. No plans for the facility have been finalized at this time.
The HTRS Board also approved a bid for more work at Power Field to improve the facility for track and field events. Superintendent Clint Kimbrough explains. ( play audio :30 seconds )
In other business the HTRS Board accepted the audit prepared by the Julie Bauman CPA firm in Falls City and accepted the resignation of school nurse Jill Volker, effective January 31st.
The HTRS Education Association was also recognized as the bargaining unit for the district teachers for the 2013-14 and 2014-15 school years. Superintendent Kimbrough explains the advantages of a two year agreement. ( play audio :45 seconds )
