(KMZA)--The increased number of local respiratory illnesses has forced a change to the visitors policy at the Nemaha Valley Community Hospital and clinic in Seneca.
Both visitors, and patients, are being asked to wear a mask when entering the facilities. Additionally, hands must be washed with soap and water or hand sanitizer before entering or leaving a patients room, as well as before entering or leaving the hospital and clinic.
Visitors suffering from any upper respiratory symptoms are told to not visit until the symptoms subside.
Earlier this week, Community Memorial Healthcare, in Marysville, put similar rules in place, based on the number of what's being called an increase in flu cases in Marshall County.
