(KTNC) - The Pawnee City Council opened sealed bids for a parcel of land and several items of city property Monday night.
The Council accepted Janelle Klepper’s bid of $200 for the property at 131 G Street. Klepper’s bid was the only one received for the property.
The council accepted bids from Larry Sitzman for a 1973 Ford fire truck and a 2001 Lift Station. Sitzman’s bids of $626.51 for the fire truck and $181.51 for the Lift Station were the only bids received for those items.
The council accepted the high bid of $888, from Tom Lutcavish (loot-kuh-vish) for a 1977 Onan Generator. That was the higher of two bids received for the generator.
Both the lift station and generator were taken from the old sewer plant.
The council also set the terms of sale for the Sebek property, which is actually two lots covering an entire city block. City Clerk Tammy Stephens says the council approved a resolution to give notice of the city’s intent to sell the property at public auction. (play audio :33)
Randy Speckmann has agreed to conduct the public auction at no cost to the city. The minimum bid that will be accepted for the property is $3,500. Items taken from the property, including whiskey decanters and a collection of salt and pepper shakers will be consigned to another auction.
