Falls City Man returned to Richardson Co to Face Charges

 (KLZA)  A Falls City man has been returned to Richardson County to face charges stemming from a domestic incident last September involving a weapon.

Richardson County Sheriff Randy Houser and Deputy Jeff Frederick traveled to Salina, Kansas February 20th to pick up 70-year-old Eugene “Buddy” Waters for extradition to Richardson County.  

Waters had been held in the Saline County, Kansas jail since his arrest last November on a Richardson County warrant.

Waters was wanted on Richardson County warrants stemming from a domestic incident September 21st of last year involving his wife, Margaret Waters, at their home in Falls City.  The domestic incident was investigated by the Falls City Police Department.  Warrants were issues for domestic assault, 2nd degree, terroristic threats and use of a firearm to commit a felony.  All of the charges are felonies.

Following the incident, Waters fled the area.    

Following an appearance in Richardson County Court, Waters was transported to the Nebraska Department of Corrections to be held for safekeeping while awaiting his next court date which is March 6th. 

Waters is also wanted in Pawnee County on charges of burglary.
