(KTNC) - Officials in the City of Peru are hoping for a strong response from the community to a survey that’s being mailed to each resident of the town.
The two-page community needs survey will give Peru residents an opportunity to help identify community needs and priorities. It asks residents to prioritize the most important issues needing improvement in Peru.
The survey will be mailed out in the March utility billing. The survey can be completed and returned to City Hall in the enclosed envelope, or it can be mailed to the Southeast Nebraska Development District office in the pre-addressed envelope.
Those who don’t get a survey with their utility billing can pick one up at City Hall or respond via a Survey Monkey link. Surveys need to be returned by April 5th.
Once the surveys have been tabulated, a community forum will be scheduled to review the results. The compiled results will be used in various ways this spring and summer, including helping the Peru City Council prioritize the best ways to allocate resources as they seek assistance for public works needs.
