( KNZA )--The preliminary hearing for a Hiawatha man charged in the death of his 4-year-old son has been pushed back.
The hearing for 27-year-old Lee Davis IV, also known as Jimmy Davis, was postponed today ( Wednesday ) in a Brown County Courtroom to May 8th at the request of his attorney, Steven Kraushaar of Marysville.
Davis was charged last week with first-degree murder and felony abuse of a child.
According to the criminal complaint, he’s accused of killing his son on or about March 3rd in the course of committing felony child abuse.
Davis remains in the Brown County Jail on 2-million dollars bond.
