(KLZA) Two architectural companies met with Richardson County Commissioners and Sheriff Randy Houser Tuesday to submit proposals for consideration of renovating the Armory Building on the West edge of Falls City into a jail / law enforcement facility.
Steve Davis, Rick Freeman and Jerry Johsnon represented HTM Architects. Andrew Pitts, Sharon Schmitz and Joe Hewgley with Treanor Architects also met with the Board.
No action was taken.
In other business, Commissioners authorized Highway Superintendent Scott Huppert to advertise for sealed bids for a 2013 or newer rock truck with a pusher.
Discussion was also held on holding an auction Saturday, April 6th to dispose of surplus county property and supplies.
The Board also approved submission of a letter of support for the Sac & Fox Nation of Missouri for application for Indian Community Development Block Grant funding for housing rehabilitation.
