(KNZA)--Probation is the sentence for the 36-year-old Denison woman connected with the January shooting death of a Mayetta man.

Rachel Hudson entered a guilty plea to the charge of aiding a felon on March First in a Jackson County Courtroom.

Today she was sentenced for that plea, earning 12 months in prison.

However, Jackson County Attorney Shawna Miller says Hudson's sentence was suspended to 18 months of probation.  She was also given a 60-day jail sanction as a condition of the probation, arising from her use of drugs and failure to cooperate with her bond supervision process.

Authorities say Hudson was in the passenger seat of a car detained January 17th in Iowa.

It was in the trunk of that car that they say Lloyd Wabaunsee and Desiree Shopteese were found hiding. The two 22-year-olds are now charged with 2nd degree murder in connection with the January 10th fatal shooting of Kevin Stanley in Mayetta.

Driving the vehicle was 29-year-old Topeka resident Aaron Lofton who has entered a not guilty plea to the charge of aiding a felon.  His Jackson County Jury Trial is scheduled for May 22nd.

Wabaunsee, Shopteese and 37-year-old Topeka resident Steven Eastman, allegedly driving the vehicle that took the accused murderers to and from Stanley's residence, are all scheduled for Jackson County preliminary hearings on April 24th.

Eastman is held in the Jackson County Jail on $15,000 bond, while Shopteese is held on $150,000 bond and Wabaunsee on a bond of $500,000.
