(KMZA)--It's official: the Superintendent of the Marysville Schools has resigned.
Khris Thexton has overseen the operation of USD 364 since 2009, having taught in the district prior to accepting that role.
His resignation was accepted Wednesday evening during a special meeting of the USD 364 Board of Education, held primarily for that reason.
Thexton's resignation comes as he accepts the position of Director of Finance, Operations and Federal Programs at the Great Bend School District.
His first day on the job for USD 428 will be July 1st.
Along with Thexton's resignation, the board also accepted another during the special Wednesday evening session, as 2nd grade Elementary School teacher Shawnae Rempe ends her time in the district.
