( KNZA )-A Wathena man will stand trial on charges in connection with a standoff with officers in March.
35-year-old William Rhyne recently waived his preliminary hearing and was bound over to Doniphan County District Court for arraignment on May 15th.
Rhyne is charged with two counts of criminal threat and one count each of criminal possession of a firearm, possession of methamphetamines, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Authorities say Rhyne barricaded himself inside a trailer home at the Gaslight Acres Mobile Home Park the morning of March 22nd after officers responded to investigate a report of a man acting suspiciously.
Officers from several law enforcement agencies surrounded the trailer and a negotiator was called in to assist.
About four hours later, Rhyne was arrested without incident.
