Counterfeit Cash Case Earns Guilty Verdict
05/14/2013

(KAIR) -- A guilty verdict was handed down for a Topeka man accused of attempting to pass counterfeit cash in Atchison County.

It took a jury under five minutes Tuesday to find Lance Greathouse guilty of making false information.

Greathouse was arrested in late August after he attempted to bond an acquaintance out of the Atchison County Jail using fake 20 and 10 dollar bills.

County Attorney Gerald Kuckelmen dismissed charges of possession of methamphetamine and theft of a motor vehicle against Greathouse Tuesday due to a lack of evidence.

Sentencing has been set for June 17th.
