05/15/2013

(KTNC) - The Pawnee City, City Council approved Mayor Duane Westing’s recommendation to fill a soon-to-be vacant City Council seat.
The Mayor recommended Sandy Corbett-Sears to fill the remainder of Roxann Buman’s term.  Buman is resigning her City Council seat effective June 30th.
The council met Monday night with Pawnee County Commissioner Dennis Schaardt regarding the Handi-Bus agreement.  SENCA has increased the amount it’s charging the county for the Handi-Bus service by $1400, and Schaardt inquired on behalf of the county if the city would split the added cost, since the bus is used primarily in Pawnee City.
