(KLZA) Auburn American Legion Post #23 will present the opening ceremony for a display at the Veteran’s Memorial at Legion Park at 10 a-m Thursday morning.
The photo exhibit of those from Nebraska who have fallen since September 11, 2001 will be on display today through June 5th at the Senior Center in Auburn. It will be open weekdays from 8 a-m until 5 p-m and on Saturday June 1 from 10 a-m until 2 p-m and Sunday June 2 from 1 until 4 p-m.
The display is sponsored by Carson National Bank, Auburn State Bank and First National Bank of Johnson.
The opening ceremony will begin at 10 a-m and will include a welcome from Auburn Mayor Scott Kudrna. Becky Woltemath will make a presentation on “Why We Remember” and American Legion Post #23 Commander Dick Stich will present the address.
Remembering Our Fallen is a touring photo display honoring our military who have died form wounds suffered in a war zone since September 11, 2001. The display has been designed so it can travel easily to communities throughout Nebraska a week at a time.
