(KTNC) - The Humboldt City Council approved an agreement between the city and Richardson County that will allow for a bridge to be repaired.
The bridge is located partially on city and partially on county property. It’s located east of Humboldt and is locally referred to as the “Humboldt Specialty” Bridge.
The City of Humboldt and Richardson County will split the costs to replace the bridge, 50-50.
The county has entered into an agreement with Manelli, Wagner and Associates to do the engineering on the bridge, and county workers will complete the project.
In other business Tuesday night, the Humboldt City Council agreed to place more no parking signs along 4th Street.
And the City of Humboldt will install surveillance cameras to try and catch those responsible for vandalizing the restrooms in the City Square Park. The facilities were vandalized twice recently, once over the Memorial Day weekend and again late the following week. Damage totaled more than $400. The restrooms are closed until further notice.
