Resurfacing Project to Begin on K-99 in Pott Co.

 ( KMZA )--A resurfacing project will begin Monday on a nearly 22-mile stretch of K-99 in Pottawatomie County from the U.S. 24 junction to the north K-16 junction, weather permitting.

The project will include a 1-inch surface mill and 1-inch asphalt overlay.
Work will take place during daylight hours, Monday through Friday, with some occasional Saturday work. 

Beginning Monday,  K-99 will be reduced to one lane for both directions as crews begin work at the south end of the project at the U.S. 24 junction and move north to the K-16 junction.

Traffic will be directed through the project work zone via a pilot car and flagger operation. Drivers should expect delays of up to 15 minutes maximum and are encouraged to use alternate routes, if possible.

Bettis Asphalt & Construction of Topeka is the primary contractor on the nearly $1.5 million project, which is be completed in mid-August weather permitting.
