(KLZA) A pickup reported stolen from Hiawatha was discovered wrecked in a corn field in Richardson County Thursday morning.
Richardson County Sheriff Randy Houser says the 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup had rolled and was discovered on it’s side in the field southwest of Preston near 704 and 655 Roads.
The owner of the pickup is Ryker Pyle who lives in the 400 block of Shawnee Street in Hiawatha. Pyle reported the pickup stolen this morning. It is believed the pickup was taken sometime late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning.
Houser said two handguns, a rifle and shotgun that were reported to have been in the pickup when it was stolen were not recovered with the pickup. All of the guns were loaded.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Richardson County Sheriff’s Department or Hiawatha Police Department.
