A residential fire Saturday evening resulted in minor roof damage at an Atchison home.
The fire broke out at 421 N 7th St, shortly before 9 p.m.
Atchison Fire Chief Mike McDermed says crews were able to extinguish the smoldering shingles in less than an hour and a half. He says the fire never got into the wall or attic of the home, owned by Roger Henderson.
Traffic near the fire was blocked off while fire crews were on the scene.
