(KLZA) The Falls City, City Council approved a recommendation from the Board of Public Works to accept a bid from MidCon Underground Construction Inc. for $81,550 to replace a large section of gas line in Falls City. Utility Superintendent Alan Romine explained the scope of work to be done. ( play audio :44 seconds )
Once the project is started it should be completed within 60 days.
Council members also approved a request to lease a Skid Steer Loader from NMC Cat for $3,500 for a year. This will be the third year the City has leased a Hi-Flow skid steer. The price to purchase one is estimated at $35-40,000. With the lease a new machine is used each year.
The Council also approved a request for infrastructure improvements for the Wilderness Falls Subdivision. This is the same request approved during a June meeting but the Subdivision name is not for Wilderness Falls and not Champions Crossing.
