(KAIR)--Dry weather is to blame for an estimated ten thousand dead fish that have turned up dead at Sugar Lake in southwest Buchanan County.
Even thought that number is very high, Buchanan County Conservation Agent Tyler Green says a fish kill is a natural occurrence that takes place at oxbow lakes such as Sugar Lake(Play Audio)
Green says Missouri State Park officials are aerating the water with pumps to help alleviate the problem.
