07/23/2013

(KTNC) - The results of the 2013 rural poll have been reviewed.  According to the poll, many Nebraska residents are uneasy about, or do not understand, the Affordable Care Act.
University of Nebraska-Lincoln Extension Public Policy Specialist Brad Lubben says there are specific areas of the health care law that cause concern for Nebraskans.   (play audio   :29    “of health care.”)
Randy Cantrell is a sociologist with the Rural Futures Institute.  He says the poll results are aggregated on a regional basis.   (play audio   :25    “non-farm proprietors.”)
Lubben explains why he thinks Nebraskans are uneasy about the law.  (play audio   :31    “be with it.”)
Lubben says education will be a critical part of adopting the Affordable Care Act in Nebraska.  To see more results from the rural poll, visit ruralpoll.unl.edu.
