The city of Atchison is seeking input from residents regarding the future of the city’s comprehensive plan.
Community Development Director Stephanie Leif says starting next week, citizens and businesses will receive a yellow survey card with their August utility bills.

Leif says the plan serves as a blueprint that guides a community’s physical, social, and economic development. The plan is updated every ten years, with the current one set to expire in 2015.
The deadline to complete the survey is September 25th. The survey is also available on the city’s web site, www.cityofatchison.com.
Once the deadline has passed, the city will compile the results and develop priorities, goals and actions based on survey feedback and input from other community stakeholders.
