(MSC News)--The suspect in an August 11th sexual assault near the campus of K-State University has been found dead.
Riley County Police on Monday said investigators located 26-year-old Alexander Shelton outside the jurisdiction of Riley County this past weekend, but were unable to arrest him, as he was found dead before police arrived. Saying that Shelton is not believed to be responsible for any other crimes, the police statement says no other information is expected to be released as the investigation is ongoing.
Since the time of the assault, authorities have cautioned the public against walking alone at night near the college campus.
