(KNZA)--The Police Chief for the City of Horton has resigned.
Beau Hasenohr made his decision official when addressing the Horton City Commission during their regular meeting Monday evening, saying he turned in his resignation last Friday. His final day on the job will be August 30th.
Thanking the Commission and the City of Horton on a whole, Hasenohr says he's not yet ready to say what his future plans are.
In an interview with MSC News, Hasenohr says his resignation is a personal decision he's made, and that he's enjoyed his time as Police Chief, accomplishing many of the goals he set when he began the job in January of 2012.
After he made his decision to resign public, Hasenohr met behind closed doors with the Commission during a 10 minute executive session.
At its conclusion, the Commission thanked him for his service, wished him well and officially approved the resignation.
There's no immediate word on when the search for Hasenohr's replacement will begin.
