(KAIR)--On the heels of the decision by the Kansas Court of Appeals to stay the annual meeting of MGP stockholders, an upset group of those stockholders met at Theatre Atchison Friday morning in a show of support to the Cray Group.
Board of Directors Karen Seaberg expressed dismay for the current board, especially since it seems as though the outcome has already been decided since voting has already took place, and the Cray Group has won. She says it is very important that they stop the bleeding of money and to just get on with business at MGP.
The next step for the Cray group is to file with the courts to try and lift, or at least shorten the stay, as well as to try and keep the company from doing anything outside of the normal course of buisness.
Bud Cray has been a part of MGP for nearly seventy years, and he says he is working hard to keep the company from being torn apart, saying that he is not happy with how the current CEO is handling things. He expressed a strong desire to get these things settled so they can get back to running MGP as it should be.
Attempts to reach MGP ingredients have been unsuccessful.
