( KNZA )--The preliminary hearing for a young Everest man facing a weapons charge has been postponed to October 2nd.
Leonard Cashman is charged with a felony count of criminal discharge of a firearm and misdemeanor charges of obstructing official duty and disorderly conduct.
Cashman was arrested in May after authorities responded to a disturbance call in Everest. He is accused of firing a gun at an occupied dwelling in the 600 block of Chestnut. No one was hurt.
Cashman also faces charges of driving on a suspended license, possession of marijuana and transporting an open container stemming from a traffic stop on July 12th. A bench trial in that case is also set for October 2nd.
Cashman remains free on bond.
