( KAIR )-Authorities have identified the body of the man who was pulled from the Missouri River Tuesday morning.
The Buchanan County Sheriff’s Department Wednesday identified the man as 45-year-old George Thomas Cook of Rushville.
Cook’s body was pulled from the river just south of Rushville around 10:30 Tuesday morning, one day after he was reported missing.
The recovery was a joint effort of boat crews from the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Department and Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The sheriff’s department says foul play isn’t suspected. However, the exact cause of death remains under investigation pending autopsy results.
