(MSC News)--The Atchison County Park Lake is no longer under an advisory status due to the presence of blue-green algae. That follows the latest round of testing conducted at the site by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment this week.
However, Atchison's Warnock Lake and the Hiawatha City Lake both remain under a warning status, meaning high levels of toxic blue-green algae have been detected during the testing.  Direct contact with the water is prohibited.
Fish, from the lakes, can still be eaten, but should be thoroughly cleaned with only the filet portion consumed.
