Broxterman Estate Funds Allocated for Corning Park
09/11/2013

(KMZA )--The Nemaha County Commission has voted to contribute $20,000 from the Broxterman Estate funds to the Corning Park Committee.

The commission took the action during their regular meeting Monday.

The funds will be used for a two-phase project at the Corning Park. The first phase is to provide basic playground structures for children of all ages.  The 2nd phase is to provide free-standing structures for children with disabilities and a walking trail suitable for wheelchair bound children.

Former Baileyville residents Leonard and Henrietta Broxterman left $480,000 to the county in 2011, with a portion of those funds designated for the support of crippled and mentally challenged children.
