(KTNC) - The Falls City School District recognized students who recorded perfect scores on the Nebraska State Assessment Test prior to Monday’s School Board meeting.
Twenty students achieved a perfect score on at least one portion of the test. That’s nearly twice as many as last year. Eight students recorded perfect scores on the writing test, eight recorded perfect reading scores, three had perfect math scores, and one received a perfect score on both the reading and writing tests.
Superintendent Tim Heckenlively comended the students for achieving the perfect scores. The state began the NeSA Tests in 2010, and Heckenlively said the state standards are considered to be very rigorous.
Heckenlively said the scores reflect well on the students and teachers, as well as the school district and the community. He said the Falls City School District has improved its state test scores in each of the last four years.
