(KLZA & Lincoln Journal Star) -- Twin boys born at Community Medical Center in Falls City on Sunday, 11 weeks prematurely were transported to the intensive care unit of a Lincoln hospital when test indicated methamphetamine in their systems.
The babies weighed less than three pounds each.
According to a story in the Lincoln Journal-Star, the twins were placed in emergency custody of Children and Family Services and their 3-year old sister was also placed in care of the state.
The babies urine tested positive for meth, as did their mother's.
The legal actions to place the children in temporary custody of the state Department of Health and Human Services occurred in Lancaster County Juvenile Court.
The name of the mother has not been released.
